Mission Statement

Take charge of a dynamic array of legal responsibilities to bolster our legal team, encompassing everything from providing comprehensive litigation support to crafting polished legal documents awaiting review and approval. The role will be pivotal propelling our legal endeavors forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Litigation Support: Dive into the heart of legal battles by providing support for both allegations and active lawsuits. Manage litigation holds, craft responses to subpoenas and interrogatories, conduct thorough legal research, and stay updated on legislative developments. Liaise with outside counsel, ensuring seamless communication and swift responses to their inquiries.
  • Contract Management: Shape the legal landscape by preparing, revising, and crafting a variety of form contracts. Ensure clarity, fairness, and legal compliance in non-disclosure agreements, consulting service contracts, purchasing agreements, and other commercial contracts.
  • Database Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the legal database (Agiloft). Participate in routing contracts for signatures, track their progress, and maintain all electronic contract files.
  • Inquiries Handling: Address internal and external inquiries with a sense of urgency and precision.
  • Administrative Services: Perform various administrative services including processing invoices for payment, budget monitoring, file/database management, annual filing updates, and registered agent correspondence.
  • Claims Management: Track and manage customs claims and USDA APHIS claims.
  • Reporting: Prepare accurate and insightful Monthly/Quarterly Reports, equipping the CFO and Executive Leadership Team with compelling narratives to enable informed decision-making.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience and/or a paralegal certificate required.
  • Expertise: Must have expertise in litigation support activities; understanding contract language is a plus.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to become proficient in other software (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Versatility: Ability to seamlessly transition between independent work and collaborative teamwork.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to think creatively and successfully manage multiple tasks, often meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously with minimal direct supervision.
  • Attention to Detail: Navigate complex tasks with ease, ensuring accuracy and completeness of work.
  • Communication Skills: Exude confidence in building relationships and communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders, from customers to employees at all levels
