Description

The Psychologist specializing in psychological testing plays a crucial role in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for patients at River Region Psychiatry Associates. This position is responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized psychological tests to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. The Psychologist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide insights to inform clinical decision-making and interventions.
  • 1. Psychological Assessment and Testing:
  • Administer and interpret a wide range of psychological tests and assessment tools to evaluate patients' cognitive abilities, emotional functioning, personality traits, and behavioral patterns.
  • Conduct structured clinical interviews, observations, and collateral information gathering to gather comprehensive data for assessments.
  • 2. Diagnostic Evaluation and Reporting:
  • Formulate diagnostic impressions, develop comprehensive psychological reports, and communicate findings to referring clinicians, treatment teams, and patients as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, therapists, and other professionals to integrate assessment results into holistic treatment planning and intervention strategies.
  • 3. Treatment Planning and Consultation:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans, interventions, and therapeutic strategies based on assessment findings and clinical insights.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and support to clinical staff, caregivers, and stakeholders regarding psychological assessment results and implications.
  • 4. Ethical and Professional Practice:
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements related to psychological testing and assessment.
  • Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and the highest standards of integrity in all aspects of psychological practice.
  • 5. Professional Development and Collaboration:
  • Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and emerging trends in psychological assessment, testing, and diagnosis.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, supervision, and collaboration with peers, mentors, and professional organizations.


Requirements

Education
  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience
  • Specialized training, expertise, or certification in psychological assessment and testing.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

License
  • Licensed or license eligible as a psychologist in the state of practice.
