Description
The 2D Program Director will facilitate the execution of GS1 Canada's 2D initiative including initiatives that will champion its adoption with GS1 Canada's subscribers and government. You will successfully identify and manage work streams necessary to ensure multiple Canadian Industries are ready for the global adoption of 2D Barcodes and related support solutions such as resolvers and GS1 Digital Link. You will create a broad program plan and its related governance, including reporting cadence, financials, overall program health and oversight of the internal 2D internal Steering Committee. You will retain an overall view of the long-term strategic goals of 2D, including semi-annual audits of strategy alignment.

Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage program structure and governance for the 2D program and drive compliance at project and work stream level. Clearly outline the cross-departmental deliverables and accountabilities;
- Establish the 2D plan and act as the lead facilitator, working with cross organizational owners engaged in the related work streams;
- Develop and manage program communication models, project reporting structures and requirements;
- Participate in the creation of related financial business models, establish financial governance and provide monthly reports (or according to governance structures) on program spends including variance against budget by consolidating financials across all projects/workstreams;
- Create and maintain a living stakeholder role map, and identify internal stakeholders to manage related stakeholder engagement;
- Distill recommendations and analysis to senior leaders and key stakeholders, this may include external partners, subscribers and GS1 Canada's sector boards and board of governors.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or a related field of study within Arts or Science;
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role with program management with knowledge of industry relative to 2D barcodes;
- Strong relationship management skills including the ability to manage complex organizational expectations and identify new business opportunities;
- Experience in building community/community engagement and go to market strategies;
- Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, subscribers and colleagues at all levels;
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, excellent presentation skills;
- Capacity to manage and deliver multiple, competing priorities;
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
