We are seeking a Network Infrastructure and Analytics Specialist to join our clients team remotely. This role is primarily responsible for proactive Event Management of ICG's voice and data services. The position is remote and can be performed anywhere in Canada. Reporting directly to the Manager of Network Operations, you will be integral in maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding our integrated network-monitoring suite of performance monitoring tools.

Reporting directly to the Manager of Network Operations, you will be integral in maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding our integrated network-monitoring suite of performance monitoring tools.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensuring that the Network Monitoring environment is proactively, effectively, and efficiently monitored and maintained.
- Capturing the performance of all network and customer elements to ensure that trouble events are immediately identified and addressed by NOCC and support agents.
- Optimizing system operations and resource utilization and performing system capacity analysis and planning.
- Managing network servers and technology tools.
- Participating in troubleshooting issues and outages.
- Ensuring security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
- Providing training and work guidance to others within the work unit.
- Occasionally providing after-hours or weekend support.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of Systems Administration or Analysis Experience (Unix/Linux).
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
- In-depth knowledge of Monitoring tools and SNMP.
- Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper Network devices (Routers, Switches).
- Basic skills with PowerShell, Bash, Perl, PHP, Python, and Groovy Scripting Languages.
- Skills in Web server configurations (Apache, Nginx, IIS, Tomcat).
- Experience with Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, and PRTG.
- Familiarity with HP, Dell, and Cisco server hardware.
- Experience with APM monitoring solutions (Dynatrace, AppDynamics) is highly recommended.
- Experience with synthetic web transaction monitoring solutions (Uptrends, SolarWinds).
- Skills with ELK stacks (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Working knowledge of SSL certificate provisioning and management.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus.
- CompTIA Linux+ or LPIC-1/2 certification / RHCSA certification is a plus.
- PCEP - Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer certification is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal English.
- Solid Linux skills.
- Experience with Logstash configuration for log parsing, filtering, and enrichment.
- Proficient in Kibana for data visualization, dashboard creation, and advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging best practices and tools, log management, and analytics.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure and Application observability.
- Experience with Synthetic monitoring platforms (Uptrends, Datadog, New Relic).
- Understanding of Web server configurations (Apache, Nginx, IIS, Tomcat).
- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and data protection mechanisms.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining network management software and hardware.
- Monitoring network performance, including traffic, bandwidth, and devices.
