Position Description
The Town of Marana is seeking a Finance Manager to work in the Finance Department. This is a full-time position that supports and upholds the Town's cultural values. The Finance Manager will provide leadership and direction to all financial operations.
The Town offers a competitive benefits package:

Expected Hiring Range: $79,709.03 - $99,635.73
Salary Range: $79,709.03 - $119,562.43

The Town of Marana is seeking a Finance Manager to work in the Finance Department. This is a full-time position that supports and upholds the Town's cultural values. The Finance Manager will provide leadership and direction to all financial operations.

- placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
Examples of Duties
- Provides leadership and development to assigned staff; establishes team goals and objectives of the functional area(s); participates in the recruitment process, ensures adequate staffing levels, evaluates work performance, ensures policy and procedure compliance, and provides guidance in employee relations matters.
- Manages the Accounts Payable and Accounting functions.
- Maintains general ledger accounting system by reviewing and approving journal entries.
- Reviews capital asset entries and invoices; adding funds, account numbers, and project budgets
- Develops reports and financial statements; and performing comparative analysis.
- Participates in annual audit by coordinating financial statements, including special district reports; prepares/reviews reconciliations and ACFR; coordinates with auditors; and monitors tax journal.
- Interacts with departments; ensuring policies and procedures are followed; provide training to departments; and assisting in special projects.
- Understanding of software programs such as: Enterprise ERP, Trakit, SpryPoint, Active Net, Courts System, Amazon, and Voyager Fleet.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Over three years' experience in Government Finance/Accounting or a related field.
- Over one year of supervisory experience or must complete the Town of Marana's supervisory academy within one year of hire date.

- Experience preparing an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.
