Job Description

Supervisor: NACS Chief Operations Officer
Primary Responsibility: Primary responsibility of the Director of Technology is to provide leadership for the planning and implementation of technology to improve teaching, learning, communication, and district operations.
Pay Range: $115,519 - $129,381

Specific Duties:

Director shall guide the district in the implementation of technology, working closely with executive, instructional, and operational teams and stakeholders to evaluate current programs, assess needs, and prepare for future implementations.

Director shall manage the budgets used for technology purchases, including district education and operations funds, grants, construction projects, and other funds, guiding responsible purchasing for all technology related items and maintaining clear records for accountability and auditing purposes.

Director shall oversee all facets of the technology infrastructure and systems, guiding the technology department and related operations to ensure stability for local, wide, and regional area networks, and to prepare for expansion of the network where convergence of other systems becomes feasible and beneficial to the district.

Director shall oversee the establishment and maintenance of systems for district data management, guiding the standardization of data entry for the student information system, data warehouse, and other district databases for accurate submission and extraction of data for district, state, and federal reporting and for data analysis for strategic planning.

Director shall oversee the management and maintenance of systems for district communication services, such as email, website, and voice communications.(Current systems in use include: PowerSchool, Parent Square, Smart Site (website), Frontline, Canvas)

Director shall oversee the training of NACS staff in the use of technology, facilitating systems and documentation for the effective use of technology systems, coordinating efforts with district curriculum coordinators and other staff.

Director shall supervise all personnel within the technology department, managing immediate supervision of members of the district technology department, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation.
