The Sanitation Manager plays a vital role in delivering high-quality product to our customers to fuel their life's important moments. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to food safety and quality, looks for improvement and is ready to roll up their sleeves with us.

Food Safety Requirements: Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Food's food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Hold self and others accountable to Thrive Foods food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any food safety incident, observation, or opportunity to your leadership team or teammates.
In the absence of Lead serves as back up to ensure all food safety, quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met.

Job Summary:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- In striving to obtain and then maintain operational excellence, this individual will provide leadership in establishing metrics, driving process improvements, and developing team members to reach their potential.
- Oversee and manage plant manufacturing operations within the plant regarding janitorial and sanitation.
- Provide leadership throughout the department, promoting a positive work environment for both janitorial and sanitation team members.
- Monitor sanitation technicians in their use of chemicals and ensure use of proper safety procedures while also determine and maintain efficient production processes which will include writing Standard Operating Procedures with visual controls and then train to these processes.
- Responsible for properly scheduling personnel to ensure sanitation processes within the plant are up to specifications and proper coverage is met at each shift in a 24/7 facility.
- Train, develop, coach, and supervise the team within the department to ensure safe and effective sanitation practices.
- Perform analytical and subjective audits of the sanitation process to monitor compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices with regard to sanitary controls.
Requirements Include:
- A bachelor's degree in related field is preferred and/or a minimum of 5 years of Management experience in Food Manufacturing facility.
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others by establishing and carrying out metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
- Ability to think ahead, plan and prepare action plans to achieve results.
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations using proven methods of Lean, Kaizen, 5s, Six Sigma, etc. techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail.
Food Safety Requirements: Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing Thrive Food's food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

- The job is performed under some temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required.
