Position: Operations Manager/Restoration Project Manager
Reports To: General Manager or Owner

Operations Managers work with owners and sub-contractors after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As the Operations Manager, you will oversee emergency mitigation, manage the renovation, as well as control and communicate the budget effectively. This means you will spend a good deal of time in the field to see your projects get completed properly.

  • Base commission on projects completed. The Operations Manager yearly pay range from $120,000 to $140,000 depending on their production. No limit to earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of restoration projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise and lead a team of restoration technicians, providing training and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports and documentation.
  • Implement and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in business development activities, including estimating and bidding on new projects.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to align operational goals with business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Job Cost Accountant to manage project budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed decisions and improve financial performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in restoration, construction, or related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of restoration industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Certification in water, fire, and mold restoration (IICRC or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Virginia Class A or B General Contractor's license.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control.
