POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Dean of Nursing and Allied Health. This is a regular full-time position that will begin immediately.

Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health is responsible for the leadership, supervision, and promotion of the faculty, staff, and program activities/responsibilities; leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Nursing and Allied Health Programs; facilitating/overseeing the implementation of a student-centered environment within the Division; short-term operation planning and implementation; long-term strategic planning and implementation; preparing and administering the Division budget; completion of other general administrative and professional responsibilities, as assigned/requested. As approved by the PA State Board of Nursing, the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health, is also recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) as the nurse administrator with responsibility and authority for the administrative and instructional activities of the BC3 Associate Degree Nursing Program and the Licensed Practical Nursing Program. This position will require close interaction with the Assistant Dean of Academic Assessment, Dean of Institutional Research, Divisional Deans, and the Dean of Educational Technology. Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Nursing required. Doctorate Degree from an accredited institution preferred. Experience in the areas of nursing practice, nursing education and educational administration, preferably in higher education, is required. Experience with program accreditation, Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing regulations, and curriculum development required. Teaching experience required. Must have either a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing or be currently licensed as a professional nurse in Pennsylvania. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
