Sr Director Transportation Solutions

Job Description
Define services, commercial terms, staffing levels, deployment of IT solutions, and leverage of existing capabilities within transportation during the pursuit process. Responsible for defining, developing, implementing, and managing the stage gate process for the implementation of new business from opportunity through delivery/stabilization. Manage new business implementation from pursuit to implementation through stabilization. Directly accountable for the project start up budget, timeline, and stabilization metrics. Develop and update the COO (Concept of Operations) for pursuits working with the MT Steering Committee, the TMC operations, and MT carrier management. Maintain and update the standard COO for Managed Transportation. Responsible for identifying and managing various process improvement initiatives within MT operations, including the leveraging of other transportation capabilities such as Fleet and Brokerage. Drive quality and standardization initiatives across TMC's and other transportation operations.
Liaison to IT for development of COS and IT cost model.
Guide development and confirms ILD project scope of work by assessing qualitative information and control report data.
Provide input to enhance the ILD Cost Model for Transportation Solutions.
Maintain the COO standard used for new business pursuits.
Assist in developing standardized proposal material for the COO.
Lead or assist on selected new solution or product development projects; lead or assist selected projects for existing accounts.
Work closely with Business Development and the customer, acts as key business resource in definition of solutions.
Attend research and assessment meetings for new business pursuits to assist in opportunity qualification (can we provide a solution) and business case development (what can we do better).
Present the COO at a customer Solution Fit meeting.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required
10+ years of experience in transportation

- Systems proficiency (Oracle Financials & Oracle Transportation Management System)
- Experience operating warehouse and transportation solutions subject to federal government regulatory controls ex. CTPAT, ITAR, CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification)
- Defense contracting, compliance with federal acquisition regulations
- Military, aerospace industry familiarity
- Procurement and purchasing acumen
- Experience dealing with data subject to restricted security settings
- Strong quality management, process and improvement skills
