Washington County's Land Use & Transportation Department is now hiring a Senior Administrative Manager to join the Administrative Division!
As one of the largest departments in Washington County, the Department of Land Use & Transportation (LUT) is a diverse, knowledgeable, highly trained, and motivated group of more than 300 professionals, with an annual budget of over $579 million. As public servants, we work diligently towards the goals and visions of the community, the county, our department, and its five divisions: Planning and Development Services; Capital Project Services; Engineering, Traffic, and Survey; Operations and Maintenance; and Administrative Services.

The Position
As part of the Department Leadership Team, the Senior Administrative Manager is a pivotal role within the department. The position is responsible for managing, coordinating, and planning diverse department-specific administrative functions, such as operational/personnel administration, budgeting, grant and contract administration, purchasing, facilities and information technology planning, management of information systems, and other professional, technical, and clerical support activities. It also oversees the financial team staff and the preparation, audit, and submission of the LUT annual budget, which includes 17 funds split into 50 programs. This budget totals over $579 million.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Possession of a Master's Degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, business administration, finance, or a closely related field;?AND at least four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative, management, intergovernmental, operations, budgetary, and similar analyses that includes at least four (4) or more years of professional level supervisory experience. OR
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, business administration, finance, or a closely related field;?AND at least six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative, management, intergovernmental, operations, budgetary, and similar analyses that includes at least four (4) or more years of professional level supervisory experience.
