JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Control Manager will manage and implement Mann Lake's quality assurance and control systems to ensure proper execution of products and customer satisfaction. This position will be located in Hackensack, Minnesota at Mann Lake headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quality Assurance Leadership:
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team, including quality specialists in multiple locations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Train and mentor quality specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Quality Control and Improvement:
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of products and processes.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Travel and Multi-State Coordination:
- Travel to various production sites across different states as needed.
- Ensure consistency in quality assurance practices across all locations.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between multi-state teams.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, inspections, and audits.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality standards and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or wood shop environment.
- Proven experience managing a team of quality specialists.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel frequently and manage multi-state operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally, including the telephone
- Mobility within the work facility
- Ability to operate computer keyboard, telephone and other office equipment
- Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
