Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for overseeing all activities related to monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, analytical, and computational tasks relating to the financial performance of the organization. Develops and maintains all organizational financial reports and dashboards and ensures data integrity within FP&A platforms and other key data points required for organizational budgeting, analysis, and reporting. Assists with special projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Budgeting/Forecasting
Oversees the preparation of the annual (or any required inter period revision) organization budget (involves collaboration with Regional and Home Office Departments).
Establishes and maintains rolling forecasts of operational performance.
Establishes formalized processes for budgeting and forecasting.
Creates long-term modeling/planning scenarios to assist in key decision-making.
Monitor and project the organization's cash flow.

Financial Reporting
Creates the organization's monthly financial reporting, including:
Monthly budget vs. actual reports
Projected summary and department level income statements
Current and projected balance sheet and cash flow reports
Preparation of monthly operations and balance sheet analytic narrative
Creates operational metrics for monthly reporting.
Performs both detailed department-level analysis and high-level summary analysis of monthly budget reports for reporting to various internal and external stakeholders.

External Reporting
In collaboration with the Finance & Accounting team members, ensures the timely and accurate preparation of all required financial reporting for bank, school partners, and other grants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
4-6 years relevant business experience
Bachelors' degree in a related field preferred.
Experience with non-profit, education, and/or grant compliance is preferred.
Ability to thrive in an evolving and dynamic work environment.
Ability to develop and foster positive relationships at all levels.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-starter who possesses initiative, sweats the details, and knows when to ask questions.
Excellent time management skills to complete broad range of tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Motivation to seek opportunities to improve operational results, identify and resolve problems.
Superb follow through and organizational skills to manage broad scope job responsibilities.
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communications skills

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Comply with organization policies and follow procedures.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Desirable: Working knowledge of NetSuite, Salesforce, Budgeting/Forecasting Software

COMPENSATION:

Salary Range $110,000-$125,000

This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
