The Learning& Development Manager will be responsible for managing the Reliability & Maintenance Group's Training, Safety and Environmental programs and processes to ensure adherence to all company, local, state and federal regulations. Ensures daily execution of all Training, Safety and Environmental requirements in accordance with the Reliability & Maintenance Group's schedules and budgets in a quality and effective manner.

Ensures daily execution of all Training, Safety and Environmental requirements in accordance with the Reliability & Maintenance Group's schedules and budgets in a quality and effective manner.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
Training (Learning)
- Responsible for lead for Learning Management System (LMS) for the Reliability & Maintenance Group.
- Develop, implement, schedule, and deliver technical training related to Reliability & Maintenance.
- Identify potential training gaps and develop action plans to correct deviations ensuring timely and effective completion of action plans.
- Lead new hires, transfers, or interns through the applicable onboarding process and progression stages.
- Facilitate and promote the progression of knowledge within employees to drive employee effectiveness, development and advancement.
- Perform field Training evaluations to monitor and evaluate the usage and effectiveness of all procedures, best practices, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain updated procedures required for the Reliability & Maintenance group.
- Maintain training records in accordance with all company, local, state and federal requirements.
- Participate in the MOC process.
Safety & Environmental (Stewardship)
- Identify potential Safety & Environmental gaps and develop action plans to correct deviations ensuring timely and effective completion of action plans.
- Perform field Health & Safety evaluations to monitor and evaluate the usage and effectiveness of all unit procedures, best practices, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments and recommend changes as needed.
- Document and report all at-risk conditions and behaviors to Reliability & Maintenance leadership and ensure corrective actions are immediately implemented.
- Ensure all incident/accident investigations are completed immediately according to company policy.
- Facilitate appropriate level investigations (Common Cause, Apparent Cause, Root Cause, etc.) and ensure a corrective action plan is created and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
- Collect, maintain, and analyze all Safety & Environmental key performance indicators (KPI's), leading and lagging indicators and communicate any deviation in parameters to Reliability & Maintenance Group leadership. Ensure corrective action plans are developed and implemented to address any deviations.
- Coordinate and conduct Safety & Environmental training as required.
- Maintain training records in accordance with all company, local, state and federal requirements.
- Promote and drive the Safety Culture Assessment program.
Other Functions and Responsibilities:
- Must have good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills with the ability to deliver training.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, programs, and regulations.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Relies on minimal instructions to perform the functions of the job.
- Competent with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Extensive knowledge of process, product, and equipment to develop and execute training programs.
- Extensive knowledge of Safety & Environmental programs, processes, regulations, and current technologies.
- Ability to lead and motivate learners by appealing to the characteristics of adult learners.
- Ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material during development and presentation.
- Proficiency in active listening, clear communication, training, coaching, and developing.
- Ability to appraise performance, including assessing training results.
- Networking skills to help get all others to support the groups training activities, including the ability to encourage and improve the level of engagement within the team.
- Presentation skills suitable to all types of training (one-on-one coaching, field training, casual small group training, and formal standup instruction).
- A self-driven work ethic that is a positive role model for all employees.
