QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst required
- Recent experience providing services as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in a public self-contained program or private therapeutic school for students with emotional and/or behavior disorders.
- Knowledge and experience implementing evidence-based methods for supporting students with emotional disabilities.
- Ability to write high-quality legally defensible Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Excellent oral communication, written communication, and time management skills are required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, team members, and other district staff required.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As a member of the school-based support team, and in collaboration with other team members, administrators, and school staff, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports the educational needs of students with disabilities and students who are at-risk. This is accomplished by conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, working with teachers and the team to develop Behavior Intervention Plans and through collaborative consultation, training, coaching, and the provision of technical assistance to administrators, teachers, and others.
