The Sr. EHS&S Specialist is responsible for leading the development of EHS-related programs, training, and systems that support our global operating sites and divisions. This role will track, analyze, and report data to management to increase awareness/initiate process improvements.

The Sr. EHS&S Specialist is responsible for leading the development of EHS-related programs, training, and systems that support our global operating sites and divisions. This role will track, analyze, and report data to management to increase awareness/initiate process improvements.
- Manage global EHS Data Management system and contractor EHS pre-qualification systems (internal and third-party customer mandated)
- Develop and implement EHS programs based on industry best practices
- Trend data to identify and recommend targeted improvement strategies that drive improved performance in both leading and lagging indicators
- Develop and conduct EHS training programs on compliance, management systems, and leadership
- Oversee the collection, development, communication, and distribution of lessons learned, alerts, and other EHS related educational material
- Provide technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and/or company environmental safety and health regulations
- Responsible for leading and managing implementation of various projects
- These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years' experience in Environmental Health & Safety with at least 5+ years within a construction, manufacturing, or industrial setting
- Demonstrated success managing large projects and initiatives, documenting procedures, and building and executing safety programs a plus
- Knowledge of ISO standards, ISO 45000, ISO 14001; international, federal, state, and local EHS-related regulations/compliance requirements (NFPA/OSHA/EPA)
- Maintains knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends in area of regulatory compliance
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EHS data management software
- Strong data analysis skills; proven ability to trend large amounts of data
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, and motivator
- Process minded, systems thinker
