Company: Anduril Industries

Location: Costa Mesa, CA 92627

Description:

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

The Air Dominance and Strike Division is one of Anduril's fastest growing divisions. Our goal is to fundamentally reshape the way future peer to peer conflicts are fought by developing next generation software enabled collaborative systems, as well as reshaping the methods used by our country and our allies to develop, procure and sustain these systems.

The AD&S division develops, builds, and tests collaborative combat aircraft, missiles, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to manage Anduril's large Group 5 aircraft development efforts across all stages of the program lifecycle. As a TPM you will be managing the shaping, development, and execution of the program vision alongside the Program Director, our government counterparts and the Anduril Chief Engineer. You will work on ensuring we have an effective capture strategy and execute well against schedule and financial goals while closely working with the Program Director and Chief Engineer to ensure programmatic goals are appropriately balanced with technical goals. As a startup, PM visions can be tailored to the specific program. Determining the right architecture of the PM approach given the program goals and effectively implementing this is critical to the TPM's success.

Success in this position hinges on three key threads:
  • Developing methodologies that enable Anduril to deliver the program our customers want while operating in a environment that is more closer to Silicon Valley than legacy prime aerospace contractors. Key will be the ability to message this to both Anduril internal and external customer stakeholders.
  • Systems and engineering mindset- the ability to understand and assess technical concepts - identifying system dependencies, interfaces, technical risks and the impact of key architectural decisions with the engineering team; and
  • An execution mindset - digging into the details, charting the path and owning the outcome. You will be expected to utilize your technical aptitude in conjunction with your program management and leadership skills to deliver the best outcome for Anduril and the customer. This frequently means creating methodologies, systems or teams where none existed, or tailoring ones that already exist to optimize them for a new environment.
