Enterprise Technology (ET) is seeking a proactive and forward-thinking individual to join our team as a Vendor Relationship Management, Sr.

In this role, you will manage vendor relationships and oversee the entire contract life cycle, ensuring seamless initiation, execution, monitoring, renewal, and closure of vendor contracts. Your exceptional organizational skills and collaborative spirit will be key in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and contractual compliance as you partner with leaders across Enterprise Technology. This work is done through the understanding of contract mechanisms, and the adeptness to collaborate effectively with purchasing, legal, finance, and service owners, ensuring a seamless contract administration process.

Working Environment

  • This is an in-person position that may provide opportunities for a hybrid work schedule.
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities and adapt to swiftly changing requirements, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management, procurement or other related field and three (3) years of supply chain or procurement experience, OR, seven years equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or significant experience in a legal role preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in contract management, such as CPCM or CCCM, are highly regarded.
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract management, sourcing or a closely related field, with a strong preference for candidates with a proven track record in the information technology sector.
  • Experience working with procurement and buyers to streamline processes and ensure compliance to rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to manage multiple, high-paced projects concurrently.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication abilities, adept at building positive internal and external relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with contract management software (e.g. ServiceNow, Jaggaer, Total Contract Management) is a plus.
  • Independent and collaborative working style, with a detail-oriented approach focused on identifying potential risks and formulating effective mitigation strategies.
  • Direct experience managing Software Licensing Agreements, Cloud Services Agreements, Managed IT Services contracts, and Hardware purchase and maintenance agreements, with a keen understanding of the nuances of software license management and compliance.
  • Experience being in a leadership role.

Essential Duties

  • Vendor Relations: Cultivate and maintain strategic partner relationships with vendors ensuring their active engagement in our success through collaborative solutioning for full utilization of our investment.

  • Proactive Contract Management: Initiate the development, evaluation, and execution of contracts, working in concert with purchasing, legal, and other relevant departmental teams.
  • Renewal Strategy Implementation: Proactively manage contract renewals, engaging purchasing and finance teams early to help with strategic negotiations to secure favorable terms and prevent service or licensing lapses.
  • Life Cycle Oversight: Manage the entire contract life cycle, including the meticulous documentation, amendments, proactive renewals, and terminations, while maintaining precise and current contract records.

  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess contract performance, conducting quarterly reviews to ensure compliance with all terms and conditions, and swiftly address issues in collaboration with service owner teams.
  • Efficiency and Process Improvements: Assist in the developing and refining contract management tools, techniques, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide robust support and expert guidance on contract-related matters to business owners and team members, ensuring comprehensive understanding and adherence to contractual obligations and rights.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Work collaboratively with the Office of General Counsel (OGC), procurement teams, finance teams, security teams, service owners, and other business units to streamline compliance, risk, and regulatory processes.
  • Contract Repository: Establish and maintain the central repository for all Enterprise Technology Office contracts and their supporting documentation, such as security reviews, in order to facilitate an ease of access, references, and reporting as needed.
  • Leadership: Act as a servant leader, working closely with purchasing, legal, finance, and service owners, to ensure a seamless contract administration process.
