1. Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
2. Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SUPERVISES: Behavior Managers

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavior support services to educational teams as they provide services to students with special education needs. These services are designed to assist identified students with varying degrees of behavioral disorder needs in the least restrictive environment. The BCBA is responsible for the lead role in the Functional Behavioral Assessment process. Also, the BCBA will provide training to educational teams on behavior techniques and interventions.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the educational team on the development, implementation and monitoring of behavior plans for students;
  • Collect, maintain, analyze student behavioral data;
  • Prepare student data reports;
  • Lead the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) Process;
  • Develop Behavior Improvement Plans (BIP) for students;
  • Assist administration in the supervision of behavior managers;
  • Review incident reports and ensure compliance with documentation requirements;
  • Attend and report at Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings;
  • Serve on School Crisis Team and provide support on a district level for crisis responses as needed;
  • Train educational teams on behavior techniques and interventions;
  • Train educational teams on individual student BIPs;
  • Assume such other functions as may be determined.


  • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    12-month year; Non-bargaining. Salary.

    EVALUATION:
    Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Non-Certified Staff.
