Description:
We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as the Behavioral Health Manager - Care Management, leading the Care Management Behavioral Health team in the Behavioral Health Department.
This position is primarily remote, however, you will be expected to occasionally attend on-site meetings in an Alliance office, as well as perform some additional in-person work in the community.

$119,958-$191,942 USD
Merced County Pay Range
$109,158-$174,658 USD
Monterey County Pay Range
$119,958-$191,942 USD
Mariposa County Pay Range

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Reporting to the Care Management Director, this position:
- Manages and leads the Care Management Behavioral Health team, acts as a subject matter expert, and provides clinical and operational guidance
- Provides management oversight to the Care Management Behavioral Health Unit and departmental operations
- Performs program effectiveness evaluation
- Manages, supervises, mentors, and trains assigned staff
- Collaborates with a variety of Alliance staff on special projects
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Desirable Qualifications include:
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification
- Experience performing behavioral health care management in a Medi-Cal environment
- Experience working in a health care delivery system, public agency, or health plan environment
- Experience working as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Some knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicaid, Medicare, entitlement programs, and related regulations and accreditation requirements, such as Knox-Keene and NCQA

- Manage the development and implementation of projects, systems, programs, policies, and procedures
- Train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate the work of staff, promote an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation, and motivate staff to achieve goals and objectives
- Organize and prioritize the work of others, develop work plans and workflows, delegate effectively, and follow up on work assignments
- Act as a technical resource and interpret, apply, and explain complex laws, regulations, processes, policies, procedures, and programs related to area of responsibility
- Education and Experience:
- Current and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Psychologist issued by the State of California
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field and a minimum of six years of behavioral health clinical experience including a minimum of three years of experience supervising a care management team responsible for management of complex cases, such as severely mentally ill and/or substance use related cases, and some experience performing or supervising both adult and pediatric case management (a Doctoral degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying
OTHER INFORMATION
- We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
- While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
