QA Director

Location: Longueuil, QC-Possibility to work from home #LI-Remote

mdf commerce Inc. is an international team of approximately 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to optimize and accelerate commercial interactions of its B2B and B2G customers.

Working in the eprocurement sector, we seek a QA Director to join our team.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

In this role, you will be led to:

• Lead the Quality team of quality assurance team, including QA Automation Developers, QA Managers and QA leads.
• Develop and mentor quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orientating, and training employees.
• Manage and direct the quality assurance team, including QA Automation Developers, QA Managers and QA leads;
• Assures quality products and processes by establishing and enforcing quality standards and testing materials and products.
• Establishes quality and reliability standards by studying product and customer requirements with other members of management.
• Maintains product quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures and company requirements.
• Prepares product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Completes quality assurance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Develop and mentor quality assurance staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Engage in the Agile Methodology ceremonies/sprints to inform appropriate data quality and test considerations as part of acceptance criteria.
• Own and manage test assets/environments by partnering closely with the DevOps/platform engineering team to integrate QA automation into the CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
• Implement policies and procedures for the software quality assurance function.

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 7-10 years of experience as a Director.
• 10 years of experience managing a quality assurance team and experience building, growing, and mentoring QA associates.
• 10+ years of software quality assurance and hands-on experience in automation testing, performance, and manual testing.
• Experience working with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience DevOps in CI/CD and working with test environments.
• Experience planning and executing end-to-end testing of multiple integrated systems.
• Experience with multiple testing methodologies to ensure functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
• Experience working with eProcurement systems.
