- Determining strategy, solutions, approaches and assignments and integrating customer focused win themes and discriminators into the proposal.
- Assessing and prioritizing projected workload and procuring/arranging needed resources.
- Identifying risks, addressing proposal response issues and developing appropriate training.
- Preparing bid and proposal estimates, developing and participating proposal kick-off sessions, and providing daily status updates.
- Preparing proposal files including formatting and finalizing files for submission based on RFP requirements
- Developing and managing proposal plans, team communications, compliance matrices, proposal outlines, storyboards, formal color reviews and production activities.
- Ensuring proposal activities meet scope and schedule parameters.
- Writing, developing and editing focused, compliant content and graphics.
- Performing rigorous quality assurance checks on draft and final documents.
- Maintaining SharePoint repositories of past proposals, resumes and past performance citations.
Skills:
- Minimum six (6+) years of proposal preparation in a government contractor environment and winning federal proposals.
- Experience leading and coordinating diverse teams of individuals at all levels from various organizations including prime contractor, subcontractor, and independent consultant businesses.
- Extensive knowledge of federal government procurement process and FAR regulations.
- Experience working within the management consulting and federal accounting industry.
- Full understanding of, and ability to apply, standard proposal process principles, theories, concepts, and techniques, including branding, corporate identity and customer communication. Formal training in proposal methodologies a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective working relationships with content providers and manage the proposal team to tight deadlines.
- Initiative to identify and achieve complex objectives.
- Superior writing and editing skills, with the ability to edit content from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a proven ability to accurately manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Must be proactive about communicating status and progress.
- Experience producing schedules, templates, and other proposal documentation using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability and willingness to work long hours on short notice during high volume proposal development periods.
- Knowledge of document configuration management tools, and Adobe Acrobat; Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint); experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and experienced at identifying data that is needed for 100% compliance with the RFP.
- Ability to effectively participate in proposal review meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in business, marketing, communications or a related field.
- Ability to travel occasionally
