Scope of the Position

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required as other duties may be assigned.
  • Must be available on a regular and emergency basis to take professional responsibility for the consumers' medication, hospitalization, and other medical decisions.
  • Provide oversight to clinical and administrative staff to help maintain and continuously improve the quality of care (e.g., help develop metrics and periodically analyze processes and results to monitor the success of person-directed approaches.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), the family, and allied services within and outside of the organization to encourage planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical services to maximize consumers' choice, quality of life, and quality of care.
  • Apply legal precedents that relate to ethical conduct and consumers' rights.
  • Must be available and punctual on a regularly scheduled and emergency basis to provide services which consists of the oversight and management of consumer' s medication, hospitalizations, and other medical decisions.
  • Must be professionally responsible for the services delineated in its approved provider agreement.
  • Organize, coordinate, and monitor the activities of the clinical staff and ensure that the quality and appropriateness of services meets community standards.
  • Facilitate the activities of the interdisciplinary team in conjunction with the Clinical Manager.
  • Must be able to provide a minimum of 25 billable service hours weekly.
  • Must certify all medically necessary services that are identified in the treatment plan.
  • Participate in the monitoring of care within the clinic through a quality assurance program that encourages self-evaluation, anticipate, and plan for change and meet regulations.
  • Participate in the development, organization, and delivery of education programs for consumers' families, board members, and the community at large.
  • Other duties assigned deemed relative and appropriate.
