Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Principal ITS Engineer/Project Manager to join the growing Traffic & Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team in Los Angels, CA.

Specifically, we are looking for a candidate to lead the engineering effort, coordinating with internal and external clients, developing scope and cost estimates, and developing and maintaining project schedules, assist / lead proposal development and presentations.

Role accountabilities:
  • Senior Project Manager in delivering projects in the Traffic and ITS department.
  • Direct the development of TSMO opportunities as a client-facing manager in our seller-doer model.
  • Lead pursuit plans and develop client engagement strategies and participate in proposal development and interviews to win new projects.
  • Strong technical expertise on ITS design and master planning, fiber optic interconnect design for signal systems, and electrical design
  • Review the delivery of projects to ensure we develop quality services and deliverables to meet client expectations.
  • Support in the continued development of senior and mid-level staff.
  • Development of scope and cost proposals for task orders and projects.
  • Ability to deliver key financial performance including growth.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Client relationships/experience with the national and regional leaders.
  • Hiring manager and lead active recruiting at all levels to expand the Traffic & ITS team.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Past / current experience as Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager on DOT projects
  • ITS, electrical & signal design

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Design build experience
  • EV charging infrastructure planning and design experience.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - 215,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
