We are looking for a driven and ambitious Sales professional to join our Intermodal Strategic Sales Team. This role offers access to extensive resources designed to support, motivate, and empower your success, including:

Using a consultative sales approach, the Director of Strategic Sales will perform several key activities to develop relationships and establish a strategy to expand market share, including:
  • Proactively reaching out to large Intermodal marquee accounts through cold calls, networking, and other prospecting methods to drive business growth.
  • Conducting strategic meetings to identify and meet customer needs.
  • Determining inventory allocations for availability and timely delivery.
  • Collaborating closely with local branch teams to ensure seamless execution of fulfillment plans.
  • Generating and analyzing reports to optimize our sales pipeline management.

As a pivotal member of our team, the Director of Strategic Sales will deliver world-class customer service, drive solution-based sales, and take personal initiative to meet commitments, thereby driving Milestone's success and fueling our continuous growth.

Qualifications:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in intermodal logistics or related transportation industries (8 years preferred).
  • Understanding of intermodal drayage and chassis pools
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in new business development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Comfortable engaging with customers in face-to-face interactions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing workflows and business needs.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (Marketing, Finance, Management, etc.), preferred or equivalent work experience in the transportation industry

Travel Requirements:
  • 50% + domestic travel required
  • Territory TBD based on residence
