Corporate Legal Director, City Storage Systems - Global

Who we are

At City Storage Systems, we're building Infrastructure for Better Food. We help restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery. Our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality, and convenient for everyone. We're changing the game for restaurateurs, whether they're entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant through your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.

What you'll do
  • Manage and execute on all M&A, strategic investments, debt financings, equity financings and other corporate transactions globally
  • Draft and negotiate term sheets, purchase agreements, and other definitive and ancillary documents
  • Serve as the lead in-house attorney on a variety of acquisitions, investments and equity and debt financing transactions, and provide legal advice to business team leaders and other relevant stakeholders on such transactions
  • Partner with the finance department to advise on and execute cash management activities and transactions
  • Investor relations (part of an extended group that manages outreach to the company's investors)
  • Responsible for global subsidiaries and structures in ~40 countries; support for treasury and corporate finance (capital structure and capital markets)
  • Lead and manage 2 corporate legal team members


What we're looking for
  • A J.D. from a leading U.S. law school an an active member of the bar in good standing
  • At least 8 years of experience focused on M&A and/or capital markets transactions
  • Big law firm experience is required, and some prior in-house experience and experience with debt financings is preferred but not required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization and outside counsel
  • A strategic problem solver with sound legal and business judgment and the ability to make practical, informed legal decisions
  • Proficient in drafting complex transactional agreements, together with the ability to distill complicated legal concepts into their core components and ideas
  • Strong organizational and time management skills necessary to manage multiple tasks for multiple members of the organization in a rapidly changing environment
  • Attention to detail, and discretion in dealing with highly-sensitive information
