Harborview Medical Center's (HMC) 7EH - Trauma Surgery Acute Care unit has an outstanding opportunity for a 90% - 100% FTE (36-40 hours per week), Night Shift, Assistant Nurse Manager position.

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM/RN3) performs specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education, and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager. As assigned by the Nurse Manager, assumes staff assignments and preceptor responsibility. Provides leadership for unit and departmental activities that promote : delivery of quality nursing care, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others.

7 East Hospital (7EH) -Trauma Surgery - staff members work as an interdisciplinary team to provide safe, quality care for adult, geriatric and adolescent trauma, general surgery, and vascular surgery patients. These patients have unique challenges often encompassing complex wound care, substance abuse and chronic underlying conditions. The unit staff consists of RNs with assistive nursing support staff.

SCHEDULE:

Either 90% or 100% FTE (36 or 40 hours per week), Night Shift

LOCATION:

Harborview Medical Center Campus - Seattle, First Hill Campus

REQUIREMENTS:

BSN degree in nursing.

Acute Care nursing experience.

WA State RN license.

Charge Nurse experience.

Two - three years of professional nursing experience, including demonstrated skill and preference for adult education (preceptor, unit based skills, etc.).
