THE HIGH LEVEL

The Billing Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing our billing operations and ensure timely and accurate invoicing while providing excellent service and support to both internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Oversee the billing process to ensure accurate and timely invoices to customers
• Develop and maintain billing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with government and commercial contracts
• Provide leadership, support, motivation and training to team members to quickly resolve issues and empower them to independently and efficiently process transactions
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Project Control, Program Management, Sales, Order Management and Accounts Receivable, to improve processes, resolve issues and improve the customer experience
• Manage the credit card function as it relates to billing and customer inquiries
• Oversee the Cisco subscription invoicing process
• Process approved debit memo, credit memo and AR adjustment transactions
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Prepare and present billing reports to senior management
• Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• A minimum of 10 years of billing or relevant experience
• Managing and motivating a team for at least 5 years
• Your considerable experience with government contracts and project milestone billing
• Your excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You enjoy researching and resolving billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
• You can work independently, make informed decisions, and communicate information to management
• Superior organization and strong follow-up skills
• Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, expertise
• Oracle experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree

This position is remote with no travel.
