Under the direction of the TUMG Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Chair of Radiology, the Director for Community Radiology highly specialized duties related to the School of Medicine management of the community radiology faculty. Director will be the primary business liaison between the group and representatives of East Jefferson Hospital. The Director will be responsible for coordinating between the Community and Academic Physicians as well as interaction with LSU Radiology at EJ and other LCMC Hospitals. The Director will oversee activities related to contractual agreements for such faculty and implement the contracts. With support from the SOM Dean's Office Director will prepare the annual budget, and analytical information on the performance of the community radiologists.
Experience with creating large budgets and managing budgets.
Physician Practice management experience
Health care/patient care business environment experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents and financial reports
Proficiency with excel and business intelligence software
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills
Excellent organizational and excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, and prioritize work assignments without direct supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
Eight plus (8+) years' healthcare experience in the area of physician practice management and clinical contracting
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
Master's level education
Three years' experience with complex contract negotiation
Experience with healthcare contract negotiation
Experience in the patient care and or physician practice/hospital environment
Experience in academic medicine settings.
Experience in a university or higher education environment
