Government Contract & Pricing Specialist - REMOTE

Defense & Government Solutions (DGS) seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Contract & Pricing Specialist to manage government contracts and other business and administrative contracts. In this position you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's service contract functions.

BASIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Analyze contract provisions to identify potential risks, summarize implications, and make recommended solutions.
  • Create and manage contract language to capture and implement agreements with customers, partners, and subcontractors.
  • Interpret program contractual requirements and coordinate legal resource services. Provide advice regarding contractual rights, obligations, and other contractual matters, such as effective use of resources and legal issues.
  • Develop, document, implement, and continually improve processes related to contract management, proposal management and procurement processes and measures of success.
  • Assist the CFO to plan, develop, and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Provide oversight for all aspects of contractual/financial planning, control, revenue/margin planning and forecasting.
  • Provide support to government accounting and pricing departments, as necessary, to support customer requests for information.
  • Provide estimating, pricing, and negotiation support.
  • Report profitability by products/service and customer.
  • Support monthly CDRLs as needed.
  • Responsible for accurate and legal financial practices and reporting.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience with cost accounting and government regulations and government contracts.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in a CPFF environment on DoD contracts.
  • Must be familiar with the FAR and DFAR contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.).
  • Experience writing the Cost/Price section of the company's proposal response to include the Cost Narrative Volume.
  • Familiarity with legal/licensing concepts such as Intellectual Property, Limitations of Liability, Indemnification, Warranties, etc.
  • Able to obtain DoD clearance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to create effective collaborations among various levels of staff and work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Government contracting procedures and Federal regulations.
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
  • Departmental/Division Budget Experience.
  • Able to display excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, financial management business, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of government contracting experience.
  • Project management experience.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

This position requires a Government Clerance. To obtain a clearance, the candidate will need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
