POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Accountant is an integral member of the finance team and report to the Controller. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparation of month end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, close related supporting schedules related to various key balance sheet accounts (cash, investments, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals. The Senior accountant will also be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly financial statement flux analysis and co-leading quarterly business meetings with department leaders. The Senior Accountant will also serve as a back-up to the Accounts payable team and assist with preparing various metrics on a periodic basis. The position will collaborate and gather support for internal/external stakeholders including but not limited to financial statement auditors, internal auditors, legal, and other agency filings.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience at a publicly traded company
  • Experience in general accounting financial close process
  • Proficiency in MS Office skills, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • Must be able to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks & work independently.
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent technical, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Some travel may be required.
