Description:

As a Senior Data Engineer within our team, you lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions throughout our application ecosystem. You play a critical part in driving impactful data engineering initiatives within our organization, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance business insights and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
  • Utilize modern cloud-based solutions for Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Data Warehousing (e.g., Microsoft Fabric).
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to ingest and integrate EDI files (834, 835, 837) and custom flat files into our Data Warehouse.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA) for secure handling of sensitive data.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to enable data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Extensive expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency in Python, C#, or other data manipulation, scripting, and automation programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design principles, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Data Engineer Expert or related certifications.
  • Experience with other Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage).
  • Experience implementing data solutions involving EDI files (834, 835, 837) and custom flat files.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7) and regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices in a cloud environment.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from conception to implementation, delivering high-quality solutions on time.
