YOUR TASKS
FORVIA - HELLA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead R&DLighting Development Engineer. The focus of this role will be to lead lightingdesign activities (mechanical focus, electronics, optical ect.) from anengineering standpoint and to at as the primary engineering contact thru alldevelopment phases (Styling, RFQ, Design, production) with our OEM customers.This is a unique opportunity to use and development a broad array ofengineering and customer interfacing skills.

DailyResponsibilities
- Planning pre product development process from inspiration and ideation through implementation
- Managing development topics over whole Innovation Process
- Capturing, analyzing, and evaluating new requirements from customers in collaboration with involved parties; developing appropriate solutions in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, with a special focus on future customer technology trends and roadmaps
- Creating and supporting the Innovation design process and guidelines, proactively and independently in relation to the area of activity
- Validating the technical concepts with models and prototypes until the product is defined, developed, and created, and prepare the product for deployment to the Product Development teams as a "bookshelf" technology.
- Contributing ideas for new Innovation-driven projects and products to the Global network. Working with the Product Development Teams to understand their customer's needs and how the global Innovation Team can support these needs
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- 3+ years working in Automotive Lighting Product Development
- Experienced in preparing and presenting technical information in customer-facing roles
- Strong understanding of and interest in latest automotive lighting trends and technologies
- Experienced in prototype development methods such as 3D-printing
- Ability to perform well in a cross functional international team.
