Role Summary: The IT Systems Engineer Telecom is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and support of the Summit Medical Group IT Infrastructure with specific focus in 1 or more selected technical areas of expertise (i.e., networking, SAN, Citrix, systems administration, servers, security, database, applications, VOIP/PBX and/or cloud).

Qualifications
Education: Associates degree (minimum) in relevant field or equivalent experience in the field of IT. Minimum equivalent experience is defined as 3 years' experience in the field of IT. Health care experience is a plus.
Experience: Experience with applicable technology solutions for both hardware and software to include Microsoft/Windows/Azure/Servers/Visualization, MS Office 365, Exchange, Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet, switching, Wi-Fi, Cyber Security/Security Monitoring, Networking, Mitel, 8x8, etc.

- Must be able to troubleshoot, and maintain systems as related to the specific IT area of expertise (i.e., networking, SAN, Citrix, systems administration, servers, security, database, applications, VOIP/PBX and/or cloud).
- Document clear instruction sets and/or maintenance guides for distribution both among other teams within the IT department, as well as to the general staff related to workflows and/or specific use of IT
- Continue with education related to IT technology in order to acquire and maintain expertise in all related IT
- Work with other members of the IT Infrastructure team to maintain operational status of all SMG IT
- Contribute to IT projects related to specific areas of
- Provide regular reports on technical areas of responsibility to IT
- Assist 3 party relations with vendor, consultant, or support groups as needed for support and/or deployment and implementation of specific IT area of expertise.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with IT management and/or executive leadership the status, specifications, and/or needs related to IT area of expertise.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality both internally and externally
- Adheres to expectations of the established corporate compliance plan.
- Actively participates in site-level Quality Improvement Activities. Each employee will contribute to the continual evaluation site performance as well as the implementation and measurement of improvement activities that increase the quality of care provided to patients.
