Embedded Software Integration Engineer Specialist

Objective:

To offer specialized expertise in managing the release and configuration of vehicle electrical systems and embedded software. This role focuses on integrating new electronic and electrical components into the vehicle's architecture, ensuring effective change control, and maintaining synchronized software and hardware versions.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and support the creation of the Software Configuration Management (SCM) plan.
Recommend and select appropriate tools from a range of approved Change, Release, and Configuration Management solutions for project needs.
Oversee adherence to the Software Configuration Management plan throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage and administer software baselines and handle associated changes.
Break down software for Test Objects and manage their creation and maintenance within the appropriate systems.
Identify and report issues related to software integration, and provide necessary information to Product Owners for resolution.
Ensure accurate and unique identification of systems, documents, and revisions.
Maintain compliance with established naming conventions for all documentation and items.
Ensure the proper storage of all Software Configuration Items.
Participate in System Specification Baseline Release meetings and Release Board discussions.
Ensure Component Owners generate Release Notes for each release.
Administer and manage various Change Records.
Provide regular updates on software configuration status, including Document Plan, Defect Reports, and Change Order statuses.
Chair or facilitate Change Control Board meetings to drive decisions and actions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the commercial vehicle or automotive sector.

Salary Range: $85,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
