Summary of Position:
This senior-level role provides support to the Permian facilities engineering and construction team under limited supervision. This role will also be responsible for providing cost engineering services and supporting engineers with routine daily tasks. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to data management, data analytics, optimization of workflows, process/tool creation and refinement, scheduling, project lookbacks, weekly and quarterly metric reporting, and data mining. These responsibilities will include a balance of analytical projects and procedural tasks.

Base Pay Range: $141,100- $160,500

These responsibilities will include a balance of analytical projects and procedural tasks.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- This position will provide a variety of technical support in all phases of facilities engineering and construction activities.
- Support project managers and other internal stakeholders with custom reporting and special project requirements.
- Build and maintain company databases and processes for facilities engineering staff analysis.
- Format data analytics to include in presentations to management.
- Proficiency in cost engineering principles including budgeting, forecasting, change management systems, earned value systems, and contingency allocation.
- Manage AFE creation and review process for the facilities engineering team.
- Responsible for providing cost engineering services for projects including estimate reviews and cost tracking.
- Assist in explaining variances from the capital budget.
- Facilitates schedule tracking and performance KPI metrics for capital projects.
- Provide analysis, KPI tracking, and recommendations for the construction program and vendors.
- Ranking contractors/vendors, actuals vs budget, schedule performance, etc.
- Work with internal stakeholders to prepare the financial outlook assumptions, capital budget, and accrual updates at desired company cadence (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
- Conduct project post appraisals to collect actual data versus estimates for the purpose of making adjustments to estimating assumptions and processes.
- Manage internal project controls processes for all areas of project execution and reporting.
- Develop improved processes and tools to support department responsibilities.
- Support other functions as needed with skillset background.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Access, PowerBI) and other facilities engineering tools (SiteView, Spotfire, AFE Navigator, Execute, OpenInvoice).
- Strong time management and prioritization to efficiently manage tasks, prioritizing activities, and allocating time effectively to ensure smooth facilities engineering and construction execution.
- Work under minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, relay technical information, and report findings or issues.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously.
- Ability to anticipate needs of staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, operators, and other analysts to achieve facilities and construction goals and address challenges collectively and efficiently.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Accounting, Engineering Technology, or similar, or an equivalent combination of experience working as an Analyst/Technician/Technologist.
- Minimum of 8+ years' experience performing a technical support role with an Oil and Gas Operator.
- Education may be considered in lieu of experience and vice versa.
- Proficiency in Spotfire/PowerBi software.
- Proficiency with SiteView or similar reporting software.
Travel Requirements:
- Work is performed at a CIVI location Tues-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays as business
- Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
- Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
