Midway Elementary School is seeking a School Based Specialist (Dual Language Coach) to join their team of educators for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year! Midway is looking for an experienced dual language teacher to join our coaching and leadership team. Our instructional specialists work closely with teachers on both the English and Spanish side. They lead PLC's support curriculum planning coach teachers lead assessment coordination and are a member of the instructional planning team. Our ideal candidate understands Teaching for Biliteracy and Bilingual Unit Frameworks and has learned about Jose Medina's C6 frameworks and is proficient in Spanish.
SUMMARY: The School-based Specialist is an accomplished teacher who serves in a school leadership role outside the classroom with the purpose of supporting the growth of instructional and professional practice in other staff and/or facilitating the implementation of a building program. School-based Specialist may work in four main ways:
