Description:
Position Summary: Develops, oversees and implements the delivery of existing and future laboratory services while ensuring the highest possible level of quality. Manages resources to ensure output of results meets patient needs and economic resources of the hospital.
Essential Functions: Management Develops and implements comprehensive test menu to ensure patient and provider needs are met while meeting financial and strategic goals of the institution.
Tasks: Assists in planning and maintaining operational budgets. Completes detailed variance reports in a timely manner. Schedules, interviews, hires, orients and assures competency of staff. Completes thorough performance evaluations in a timely manner. Monitors productivity in the department to ensure proper utilization of staff. Aligns testing and services within department to LBH organizational strategies and goals. Identifies future needs in terms of equipment, facilities and staff. Submits appropriate justification and support documents for procurement.
Qualifications/Requirements: Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline
Education/Knowledge:
Experience: 5-7 years
Certifications :
MT (ASCP) SBB (ASCP) PA (ASCP)
