As a Department Manager, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.
Job Overview:
Manages the administrative, fiscal, human resources, and patient care aspects of designated areas. Assumes 24-hour accountability as appropriate to service line. Contributes to and supports the hospital's mission, strategic goals and policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of and integrates the use of evidence-based outcomes for nursing practice. Integrates principles of growth and development in directing/providing care appropriate to the ages served.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education
Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
Required to maintain competency and continuing education in area of specialization and in professional practice.
Five years hospital clinical nursing experience recommended.
One year of nursing management experience required.
Current RN licensure in the State of Indiana. Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider, within six months of hire.
