Job Overview
MBUSA seeks a skilled and detail-oriented IT Finance Manager. The IT Finance Manager is responsible for the financial planning, budgeting, reporting and cross charging of all shared services across the IT MBUSA, including collaborative efforts with Canada. Reporting and monitoring all Service Agreement and Central Service Agreement administration for the IT organization in collaboration with central controlling. This role is also designed to provide the needed transparency, challenge budget topics where relevant and proactively seeking to create process improvement and efficiency
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Reporting
Plan G&A / Investment Budgets for IT cost centers according to functional and divisional guidelines and Daimler standards
Create actuals/forecast reports according to MBUSA and ITS Mercedes standards
Create consolidated IT Forecasts by application spend perspective
Create financial reports on request (e.g. revenue forecasts, spending by application, etc.).
Ensure financial transparency to IT Management on NAFTA budget through reports and regular meetings / support decision making process through financial information
Align with MBUSA Controlling & Accounting departments to ensure adherence to financial guidelines and policies
Align with IT Central Controlling on planning and application reporting based on requirements
Responsible for continuous improvement of IT financial management (e.g. Streamline planning processes, automate reporting for local IT and Central IT Controlling Reports)
Provide guidance and support to IT on financial matters and financial decision making
Proactively collaborate with central controlling on all budget relevant topics
Oversight and management of the IT critical spend process - guiding and leading the approval process
Support transparency on personal and consulting cost to ensure accurate tracking and impact to run cost
External Cost Oversight
Manage and oversee procure 2 pay process for IT (e.g. provide appropriate resources and guidance to IT professionals for procurement and invoice management)
Oversee and track all Service Agreement and Central Service Agreement management for IT and ensure correct payments
Align with supplier management team on external supplier cost & billing
Manage invoice payment automation project and implementation of streamlined processes and tools for Central Service Agreement management)
Align & confirm procurement budget confirmations request
Finance Support
Support IT Management on financial matters and project estimation
Align & collaborate with management on cost savings optimization and ensuring timey payment of invoices
Provide annual fresher budget training to all IT Finance Champions while supporting and collaborating on budget topics throughout the year
Manage and steer annual budget transparency calls with various central IT partners
Lead quarterly "Health Budget Checks" meeting with senior management to evaluate and monitor year -to-date spend, trends and patterns
5+ years of SAP experience
5+ Experience on Financial Planning & Reporting
Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or substantial financial/accounting experience
Prior experience in working with IT organizations (preferred)
Knowledge about Project Management & Project Controlling
Experience leading & managing team
Attention to detail
Ability to see the big picture and work independently towards dept. objectives.
Solid communication skills
Ability to work with Senior Management Level
