Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager, Credit & Collections is responsible for leading and managing the credit and collections functions within the AR department. This role involves developing and implementing credit policies, overseeing the collections process, and managing customer relationships to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt. The Manager, Credit & Collections, plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization's financial health. Responsible for oversight of Cash Application and Non-GC account invoices ranging from current to 90 days outstanding.

  • Develop, implement, and enforce credit policies and procedures to manage customer credit risk effectively.
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, establish credit limits, and monitor credit exposures.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, credit reports, and payment history to assess risk.
  • Oversee the collections process, including handling of past-due accounts, payment arrangements, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts and escalate unresolved issues as necessary.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve issues amicably.
  • Supervise and lead the credit and collections team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on credit and collections performance, aging analysis, cash flow projections, and key metrics to senior management.
  • Monitor and manage credit-related risks, implementing controls to mitigate potential issues.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set goals for team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred). Combined experience in this type of job role of five or more years with education is desirable.
    • 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in accounts receivable, with at least 3 years of related supervisory experience.
    • Proven experience in managing AR processes and leading a team.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific credit and collections practices and regulations.
