Overview:

Responsible for driving work that delivers on the goals of the Marketing Plan, planning and coordination of marketing efforts, projects, and initiatives. Communicate and guide marketing plans to those involved. Will be accountable for support logistics of marketing activations, and major events. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

Core Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate and communicate a thorough knowledge of marketing initiatives, market research, brand strategy, paid media, and challenges and opportunities (industry and competitive) that will influence the brand.
• Lead the day-to-day monitoring of the marketing budget. This includes constant and recurring communication with the other Marketing directors to confirm the budget's accuracy.
• Lead the project management of the annual marketing plan for the organization, including but not limited to strategic marketing business plan, annual report, media, and creative.
• Monitor and track progress and completion of annual goals, objectives, and tactics of annual marketing plan.
• Work closely with agency partners to execute tasks associated with creative materials, advertisements, promotions, and activations to ensure alignment with stated goals and objectives, and brand position.
• Support creative brief development and approvals for new creative projects and initiatives.
• Develop and manage marketing team project trafficking system.
• Manage, support, and provide guidance to Discover Puerto Rico's partner agencies.
• Act as main marketing liaison with Puerto Rico Tourism Company and other government entities (i.e. DDEC, Invest Puerto Rico, Fortaleza, etc.)
• Clearly set expectations for up to two direct reports. Evaluate performance based on expectations and stated goals, providing regular coaching and feedback.
• Conduct timely performance appraisals of all direct reports to encourage, motivate, and improve staff production and improve consistency.
• Prepare and present reports as requested, for key stakeholder groups and internal and external audiences.
• Lead and possess full ownership of key projects with VP of Marketing and CMO approval, including, but not limited to the following strategies:
  • Golf segment
  • LGBTQ+ segment
  • Cruise segment
  • Luxury segment
  • Medical Tourism
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Lifestyle Strategy and its pillars:
  • Gastronomy
  • Music
  • Sports
  • Fashion & Beauty
  • TV/Movies
  • Natural Beauty & Sustainability

Key Credentials:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing and/or business administration or related field;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar management position with professional-level direct reports.
• Minimum of four (4) years of Project Management experience handling multiple projects of different scope/complexity
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills;
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities;
• Proven ability to manage budgets;
• Discretion and an understanding of confidentiality issues;
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures;
• Technologically Efficient, MS Office Proficient;
• Fully Bilingual with strong oral and written communication and presentation skills (English/Spanish);
• Knowledge of the Puerto Rico market, cultural and language nuances.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task/work on multiple projects and events at once.
• Comfortable with situations characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and high levels of uncertainty.
• Ability to travel to events, as needed.

Location: In-Office Puerto Rico

Full-Time Position with Potential Flexibility

8-10% Travel
