Role: MRP/ Inventory Manager

Reports to: Supply Chain Director

Contract: 12-18 months with potential extension

Responsibilities

Inventory
  • Work in collaboration with internal teams, such as Procurement, Planning, Logistics and Finance defining and enforcing strategies to reduce or avoid write offs and develop healthy inventories based on best practice.
  • Define and implement a clear and sustainable policy for customer owned materials, to guarantee on hand stock is only for firmed production plan.
  • Develop strategy for YYF owned materials inventory to maintain Healthy DOS
  • Determine slow moving inventory and lead action plan to remove them from on hand to maximize the usage of warehouse space.
  • Ensure strategies for FEFO rotation are in placed on materials and FG.
  • Request investigations for inventory discrepancies, follow up until root cause is found and differences are resolved.
  • Support and facilitate the prompt execution of COD's approved. Be sure the materials are removed from the building and cleared from the warehouse system.
  • Provide and track inventory Key Performance Indicators on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead weekly meetings with sales, supply chain and Finance to expedite the decisions on materials disposition.
  • Lead monthly inventory meetings and provide overall results and actions performed to the SLT.

MRP Specialist
  • Assist the Supply Planning team on the implementation of MRP: guarantee accurate planning parameters are entered.
  • Support Planning team, keeping BOMs in NetSuite updated to guarantee MRP runs smoothly.
  • Work along with procurement improving MOQ's and lead time for raw and packaging materials.
  • Develop SOPs and training manuals related to materials flow within Supply Chain area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project manager, accounting or a related field is required.
  • 3+ years of inventory control or supply chain
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas & macros) and prior experience MRP implementation.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite is an asset.
  • Prior Supply Chain, accounting, and analysis, reporting experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills paired with strong conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Team player, attention to detail, flexible and ready for a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively through a proper understanding of the Organization's goals and expectations of internal customers.
  • Ability to deliver results on time, without compromising on accuracy.
  • NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide a photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit.
