Description: Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.-Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.-Manages care of patients.-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.-Float to units within competency as required.-Cardiac Vascular & Post Surgical Stepdown Unit.Skills Schedule Notes:7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Every Other Weekend. Holidays required. No On Call. Must have 1 year of Stepdown. Experience with vents & trached patients. Experience with Neuro, Trauma and Surgical patient. Telemetry experience.Experience with some infusions (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Cardene). Neurological assessments is a plus!Float Requirement: Likely not needed, but just in case- equal unit (stepdown/intermediate) or med surg telemetryRN must be willing and able to treat and manage patients on unit with a variety of conditions (including but not limited to flu, Covid, heart issues, lung issues, etc).Skills: -Minimum of 1 year prior RN experience working in a major acute care hospital setting required.Must have 1 year of Stepdown. Experience with vents & trached patients. Experience with Neuro, Trauma and Surgical patient. Telemetry experience.Experience with some infusions (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Cardene).
