Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Sr. Software Engineer-related occupation.

Description
- Under limited supervision, participate as a technical expert in planning, analyzing, testing, and debugging new software or making significant enhancements to existing software to achieve desired results and document appropriate aspects of those deliverables
- Analyze complex technical problems and provide solutions
- May mentor junior team members
- Act as a strong advocate for continuous integration, continuous delivery, quality assurance, and test/process automation
- Build and iterate on software prototypes
- Build custom algorithms, dig into data for insights, and build engaging interfaces
- Develop component design
- Develop and/or modifies effective, defect free source code that meets business requirements and team standards
- Participate in unit test case development
- Develop complex test scripts
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)
- Work from specifications to develop or modify highly complex software programming applications
- Identify and recommend appropriate continuous improvement opportunities
- Contribute technical alternatives
- May telecommute up to 100%

Position requires demonstrable experience in the following:
- Software engineering languages and tools including git, React, Typescript, HTML/CSS, and node.js.
- Developing on multiple platforms including AWS or similar cloud provider
- IT concepts, strategies, methodologies including agile software development concepts and processes, scrum, cloud first development, and microservices architecture
- Diverse technologies and new technical architecture principles and concepts including
- relational database design
- object-oriented software design
- REST APIs
- GraphQL APIs
- knowledge of frameworks like DRY and SOLID
- Layered systems architectures solutions and designs and shared software concepts
- Business function(s) and IT industry business issues including extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies, and objectives
- Extensive consultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, draw out unforeseen implications and make recommendations for design, and the ability to define design reasoning and understand potential impacts of design requirements
- Backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery
- May telecommute up to 100%
