We currently have a need for an Electrical System Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a brief description of job.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate and characterize devices from early proof-of-concepts to mass production
  • Capture power consumption data by running different apps in the MR environment.
  • Set up and execute manual and automated hardware tests
  • Includes running test scripts with a command line interface
  • Test power consumption of new product features
  • Prepare raw data, graphs, and reports to document and analyze test results


Must-have HARD skills:

  • Python coding,
  • Power consumption testing and experience working with lab equipment's
  • power supplies, DMM, oscilloscopes
  • Good to have skills: Working knowledge of DC-DC converters


Skills required:

  • Candidates with electrical engineering, computer science background with minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Strong scripting experience in Python, executing scripts, and editing configuration files
  • Working knowledge of DC-DC converters- buck converters, boost converters, LDOs
  • Good understanding of power measurements - efficiency, power consumption, voltage and ripple measurement etc
  • Hands-on lab experience with device bring-up, debugging and lab equipment (Powers supplies, DMM, NI DAQ, oscilloscopes)
  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with code management repositories (e.g. GitHub, GitLab)

  • Duration: 12-month contract on W2 role (with probable extension) + benefits
