Job Title: SAP Business Objects Data Services Architect

Responsibilities of the SAP Business Objects Data Services Architect:
McLane Advanced Technologies is seeking a remote SAP Business Objects Data Services Architect. You will play a crucial role in assessing, documenting, and optimizing ETL/ELT solutions using SAP Business Objects Data Services. You will coordinate with the development and support teams, collaborate with business users to understand their requirements, and provide technical solutions aligned with project timelines and budget constraints

The SAP Business Objects Data Services Architect will:

• Leverage over 10 years of experience in SAP Data Services.
• Utilize 10+ years of experience with Snowflake SQL.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of SAP BODS architecture.
• Design and implement ETL flows in SAP BODS.
• Prepare and maintain technical specification documents.
• Provide hands-on technical development in SAP Data Services (BODS).
• Work with SAP systems as data sources.
• Implement all transformations within BODS.
• Utilize strong SQL skills.
• Apply analytical skills to independently analyze and resolve ETL and SQL issues.
• Estimate BODS work effort.
• Engage with customers to gather requirements and independently work on them.
• Apply basic knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, including schema formation.
• Understand Dimensional Modeling concepts.
• Manage BODS scheduling and Management Console.
• Install and configure BODS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP Business Objects Data Services and SAP Information Steward.
• Expertise in optimizing ETL/ELT BODS processes, Data Warehousing, and business intelligence (BI) solutions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, and SAP BOBJ.
• Proficiency in developing custom function modules, transformations, and integrations.
• Expertise in SQL and scripting languages such as Python, Unix Shell, and Perl.
• Good understanding of data quality and data profiling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in SAP BODS and related technologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, project management practices, and version control systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
