Nurse Manager

The Nurse Manager will report to the department Director of Neurology. The Nurse Manager will have clinical oversight from the Infusion Center Director. Brown Neurology offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Hours: M-F 40 hours per week.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee Registered Nurses working within the infusion setting.
• Responsible for educating team on new medication protocols for infusions.
• Develop best practices for infusion center.
• Train, support and evaluate clinical skills of team.
• Conduct monthly team meetings /trainings.
• Manage day-to-day operations including scheduling templates, patient access, and clinical flow.
• Develop and assess employee skills and manage employee performance in conjunction with the department director.
• Act as an expert resource when staff encounter problems or questions.
• Plan and implement programs to meet targeted patient volumes.
• Oversee quality assurance and safety standards.
• Review patient Labs
• Assist with administrative duties related to infusion as needed.
• Work to continually improve the quality of our services.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program priorities, performance and outcome measures, and regulatory requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• An active RN license in Rhode Island
• 2 - 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
• 5 years of infusion experience
• Ability to multitask

Desired:

• 3+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting
• 3+ years of home infusion /or infusion room experience
• Experience with outpatient EMRs
