Overview: The Director of Network Services, based in Manitoba, reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This role oversees the management, operation, and evolution of our clients voice, video, and data infrastructure, including transport systems, headend equipment, video on demand, wireline and wireless internet equipment, and telecom equipment. Additionally, the position manages the Corporate IT team, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Provide leadership and direction to managed teams, fostering professional relationships and cohesive teamwork.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
- Analyze department structures and modify staffing plans as needed.
- Monitor and report on departmental performance, including budget status and key performance indicators.
- Oversee the design and implementation of network infrastructure and ensure proactive maintenance programs.
- Develop and execute IT plans to meet the company's needs.
- Research industry trends and technology to support business development and strategic positioning.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a telecom service provider in architecture, design, or leadership roles.
- Engineering degree, Certificate/Diploma in Telecommunications, Computer Sciences, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of business requirements in a competitive marketplace.
- Availability for emergency services and problem escalation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
