Job Description:
Summary:
This position leads all aspects of research, evaluation, design, development, testing, maintenance, protection, and support for UPS technology assets throughout their lifecycle. This includes a diverse range of systems: mainframe, midrange, open systems, x86/x64 architectures, storage, and mobile/fixed devices. The Lead Systems Programming Analyst is a hands-on technical leader who also manages projects, coaches team members, and ensures the security and high availability of critical systems.

Lead and oversee all phases of technology projects: research, evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and support.
Take ownership of technical decisions and provide guidance to team members.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $ $106,620/year in our lowest geographic market up to $173,280/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Project Management:
Lead and oversee all phases of technology projects: research, evaluation, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and support.

Systems Administration & Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain a wide array of systems, architectures, storage, mobile, cloud base products and fixed devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex system-level problems
- Possess a deep understanding of storage and backup/recovery solutions and lead their design and implementation.
- Proactively identify and address system issues to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and capacity.
- Security & Disaster Recovery:
- Design, implement, and maintain a robust information security model across all IS environments.
- Lead disaster recovery tests and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities and risks.
- Contributes to maintain the security posture of our network.
- Team Management & Mentorship:
- Coach and mentor team members, providing the tools and knowledge necessary for their professional growth.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Key Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with Microsoft products and technologies is essential.
- Strong understanding of OS imaging techniques and deployment methodologies.
- Expertise in endpoint management using BigFix (patching, software distribution, etc.) is critical.
- Solid foundation in networking principles and protocols is required.
- Experience with Microsoft project and SharePoint
- Excellent communication skills to
- Experience with statistical software packages such as SAS, R or Python, and software design experience
- Strong understanding of system architecture and design principles
Qualifications:
- A degree in systems engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Deep understanding of systems architecture, operating systems, and enterprise-level infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive issue resolution.
- Proven experience leading technical projects and delivering solutions within complex environments.
